The lovely hedgehog has moss prickles. You can pat the hedgehog without pain.

The hedgehog is a Bonsai, made by Sinajina. They also use the moss to resemble sheep. The attempt to put something into completely different things is called “Mitate” in Japan, and it is a big feature of Japanese culture.

The hedgehog and sheep pots are made by casting brass by hand. The detailed shapes are stylish and cute.

Some Bonsai look like a tree on top of a hill. The thick moss expresses the hill. The moss can become all of the things in the world, such as a hill, animals or an island.

A Bonsai requires a lot of effort over a number of years to grow, but the Bonsai by Sinajina are enjoyed easily. The scenery with the small world of Bonsai will relax you.

The breathtakingly beautiful design……It is completely polished and elegant. The modern patterns in a perfect array make the light fall dramatically.

The very delicate pattern is made of only wood pieces. Experienced craftsmen cut these wood pieces by a tenth of a millimeter, and compose them by hand. The technic is called “Kumiko”, it is a traditional handicraft in Japan. Kumiko is so delicate that you never get tired of looking at it.

There are various Kumiko products, such as sliding doors, lampshades and partitions. Kumiko is adopted by some Japanese restaurants as an elegant interior. Kumiko products have premium accents, they will make your room look like a luxury Japanese hotel.

Tanihata is an established kumiko manufacturer founded 50 years ago. They make kumiko products to order with natural wood. You can choose the design and wood as you like. You should use a gus duster to clean a kumiko.

Bunaco series are made of beech trees. They are made by whittling a piece of beech tree into a long thin ribbon, and coiling it to make the shape of dish or basket. The ribbon is only 1mm thick so it needs an advanced technique.

This technique makes effective use of the wood and protects the forests. A Bunaco product needs 1/12 the amount of wood compared to ordinary wooden carved products. It is the latest environmental technique.

These dustbins have a unique shape and won the 2009 Good Design award. The Bunaco technique allows various complex designs which cannot be made by other methods.

You cannot only make your room stylish but also save the forest with this dustbin!

This modern chair design is a revival of a 1960’s chair. It is the genuine mid-century design.

Karimoku is an established furniture manufacturer in Japan since 1962. Their stylish and strong furniture has been popular for a long time. Karimoku provides a set of revival design furniture which is called the “Karimoku 60″ series.

You can choose from 4 classy fabrics: black artificial leather, ivory artificial leather, green moquette and green fabric.

The chair uses rubber trees for arms and legs. Rubber trees were considered difficult to be made into furniture. Many rubber trees are cast out after tapping. Karimoku succeeded in developing furniture made of rubber trees. The recyclability of rubber trees is good for the earth.

If you want to make a mid-century style room, you have to get a chair which has a real mid-century design like this.
